Don Bosco Among Us

During this past year, a relic of St. John Bosco, has been travelling the world.  The relic is a life-sized wax statue of Don Bosco lying in state inside of a magnificent glass urn (shown below).  Inside of the wax image of Don Bosco is contained bone from his right hand and arm.  Click here to visit the Don Bosco Among Us web site to learn more about the relic and its travels.
Written on the frame of the relic is Don Bosco's motto in Latin: Da mihi animas caetera tolle, which means "Give me souls; take away the rest."  On the base of the relic are the dates 1815, when Don Bosco was born, and 2015, the two hundredth anniversary of his birth, coming soon!

On 13th August to 16th August, the relic of Don Bosco will be in Mumbai.  The relic will be kept in Don Boscos Shrine at Matunga. People can pay their due respects at a given alloted time by the Salesians.
